The Hill Country Youth Orchestras
present five main concerts per year,
including the Community MESSIAH Sing
in Kerrville.
Chamber ensembles within the Orchestras
perform approximately twenty times per
year.
String quartets and ensembles from the
Orchestras perform regularly for weddings,
private parties and community functions.

Here are the dates to set aside for all Hill Country Youth Orchestras. Times and places may shift, so I will
send those details as we get closer to each event. Those of you who have been with us know "flexible"
is our middle name as we juggle our needs with First United Methodist Church's (KFUMC) needs. I will
send details to events as we get close to them. Mark these dates:

MONDAY NIGHT REHEARSALS AT KFUMC
Pre-Twinkles with Ms. Lydon: - 5:00-5:30 pm
Vivace with Ms. Lydon: 5:30-6:00 pm: 21st Century classroom (down from the library)
Con Moto with Ms. Plaxico: 5:30-6:30 pm: Keystone classroom (across from the rehearsal hall)
Cavatina with Ms. Jacobi: 5:30-6:45 pm: Fellowship Hall stage
Cello Class with Ms. Jacobi and Mr. Basel: 6:45-7:45 pm: Keystone classroom
HCYO with Mrs. Lee: 5:30-8:00 pm: Rehearsal Hall
Select Messiah Orchestra - 7:30-8:15 pm

SPRING CONCERT REHEARSAL
Saturday, April 26 - 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Cailloux Theater
Cailloux Theater on Main Street, Kerrville:
[These are start times; please arrive 15-20 minutes early to unload & get to your seats]
Mrs. Lee's full HCYOrchestra: 9:00am - 11:00am; Ms. Jacobi's Cavatina: 11:00am - 12:00pm; Ms. Plaxico's
Con Moto & Allegro: Noon - 1:00pm; Mrs. Lydon's Twinkle & Vivace:
1:00 - 1:30. Please come to the stage door in back of the auditorium.
We may use the dressing room restrooms & we may unload instrument cases
and sit in the first few rows of the theater. We may not use the rest of the
theater or the lobby area. No food or drinks are allowed inside the theater.

SPRING CONCERT
Monday, April 28 - 7:00 pm. Warm-ups begin at 5:00 pm.
Cailloux Theater
Warm-up schedule: HCYO: 5:00 pm;
Cavatina: 5:45 pm; Con Moto & Allegro: 6:05 pm; Vivace & Twinkle: 6:25
pm. Doors open for concert 6:40pm. Concert begins 7:00pm.
Reception & uniform turn-in following the concert.

Don't forget to practice! Suggested practice times from our faculty:
HCYO: 45 min - 1.5 hrs / day / 5 days / week
Cavatina: 30 min + / day / 5 days / week
Con Moto: 20 min + / day / 5 days / week
Vivace: 20 min / day / 5 days / week
